Favorite Opera Singers?

I prefer Italian opera, so i dont know the names of any songs that ive heard b4, yet i want to hear them again. so please, help? favorite opera singers and favorite songs/classic songs? mostly italian opera please
oh yeah, and im not sexist, i just greatly prefer male opera singers, with deep voices that can just hit that one note that makes the hairs on your neck stand up. also, i LOVE Pavarotti. people like him?

Do you have to be multilingual to learn to sing opera?

me, myself, and I asked:


I mean, do you have to speak German, Italian, French, Russian 1st to learn to sing opera (considering that most operas are not in English)? Is foreign languange something that you have to master first before you study opera? Or can it be learned along the way?

What if a person wants to learn to sing opera but he/she doesn’t speak other languages than English? Does he/she have to learn & speak foreign languages 1st before he/she can begin studying opera?

Spanish Opera or Classical Music to Purchase?

In a couple of months I am going to Seville, Spain to study abroad and I would like to own a collection of operas/opera singers or classical music compositions before getting there but I dont know the best stuff to buy. If you have any recommendations about Singers or composers from Spain to purchase, that would be great. Also, if you have any suggestions of Italian, French or German artists/ composers to buy, that would be great.
