Narsh asked: My wife’s a University graduate in Classical Italian opera and stage performance. Since she had our son she hasn’t been able to compete here in China. We’ll be moving back the US in a few months and I want to find a website that lists upcoming competitions on the east coast so she’s ot something there similiar to back home. The new york/new jersey area would be best. Anything would be very appreciated.

? Captain Glover ? asked: A male sings it, I cant remember anything about it. Other than in movies its played when something tragic is taking place in present time, like if someone would fall, they would fall in slow motion and the song would play.
God its so hard to explain it, its almost like a sad clown opera type thing.
It’s sung in a different language, italian i think.

me, myself, and I asked: I mean, do you have to speak German, Italian, French, Russian 1st to learn to sing opera (considering that most operas are not in English)? Is foreign languange something that you have to master first before you study opera? Or can it be learned along the way?
What if a person wants to learn to sing opera but he/she doesn’t speak other languages than English? Does he/she have to learn & speak foreign languages 1st before he/she can begin studying opera?

Zay asked: In a couple of months I am going to Seville, Spain to study abroad and I would like to own a collection of operas/opera singers or classical music compositions before getting there but I dont know the best stuff to buy. If you have any recommendations about Singers or composers from Spain to purchase, that would be great. Also, if you have any suggestions of Italian, French or German artists/ composers to buy, that would be great.

Nemo L asked: It’s the movie soundtrack, not a play version.
It stars Renata Fusco as Christine and Luca Velletri as Erik (the Phantom).
I think, but I’m not sure, that Pietro Pignatelli plays Raoul.
I couldn’t find the soundtrack on Amazon.com, nor Target or Tower Records.
The singers are amazing and I would really appreciate if someone knew where to find it.

Grizzly Adams asked: I occasionally like to write and I always thought it would be cool to write a story and have it told in live performance. However instead of fat ladies singing in Italian to a symphony of classical Instruments, its a rock band in the music pit and actors are singing along with it. Basically combing a concert with live theatre, and pyro. I already have some short stories written. Basically would you pay to go see this and does this thing already exist?
Where and can i get some examples?

asthenia394 asked: It plays several times– once when Carmella and some of her girlfriends are in a restaurant and again at the very end. Tony walks in the door and the episode ends with the camera on Carmella and the opera song playing in the background. I’m pretty positive it’s Italian.

Gigi asked: I watched this movie as a kid. It seems as if it was done in the 80’s or 90’s? It’s a fantasy movie about a man/boy or both that take this long journey to the moon. It might be an Italian or Spanish movie with English subtitles. I think the title was something to the effect of “Italian male name” goes to the moon? To further add to the poor clues, I think the beginning of the movie started with a boy running around in an opera house or theatre. Any ideas would be great.
